Dana White never hid the fact that she always dreamed of bringing the Russian legend Fedor Emelianenko for the UFC, mainly so he could face Brock Lesnar in a superfight. However, according to Fedor himself, things were not quite like that. The former PRIDE champion blamed the manager for never reaching an agreement with the main MMA organization on the planet.

“In my opinion, everything was in Dana White’s hands. Because at that moment, I felt like 'this guy, it looks like he hated us.' There were insults coming from Dana White all the time,” said Fedor, also mentioning his manager Vadim Finkelstein, in an interview with the “WhoaTV!” channel. “There were a lot of things said out there, but nothing really happened. It was all talk”, he concluded.

Fedor Emelianenko, now 37 years old, recently ended his career, after victory over Brazilian Pedro Rizzo, with a record of 35 wins, 4 losses and one fight without result. The Russian, considered by many to be the greatest heavyweight of all time in MMA, remained undefeated for almost ten years, between 2000 and 2010 – until he was submitted by Fabricio Werdum, already in Strikeforce.
