Defending his light heavyweight title for the first time, Glover was challenged by rising prospect Jiri Prochazka, who, with just three fights in the organization, won the right to fight for the world title. In the fifth round of the confrontation, the Brazilian won on the judges' scorecard, when the Czech surprised and managed to land a rear naked choke on the then champion. It was Glover's first submission loss in his 20-year career.
