Officially retired from MMA, Joanna Jedrzekczyk rules out having negative feelings about her last tormentor. The Polish woman, who ended up brutally knocked out in the rematch for UFC 275 last Saturday (11), revealed that she was surprised by the strength of Weili Zhang and considers the Chinese favorite against Carla esparza through the straw belt (up to 52,1kg.).

“First round for Weili Zhang, he knows? She is very strong. Firstly, she really surprised me with her strategy in grappling as well. We knew she was strong in striking, but she was also very strong. She did a good job and it will be interesting to see her (at the straw belt) against Carla esparza,” Jedrzejczyk said in a post-event press conference.

It does not stop there. In addition to a favorable projection for the Chinese, Joanna also bets that Weili will make a trilogy against Rose namajunas. She states that she wants to keep up with the category and cites rivalry as the 'beautiful part' of the sport.

“I believe she wins and has a fight against Rose and I feel like she's next, you know? That’s the beautiful part of the sport,” she concluded.

At 34, Joanna Jedrzejczyk leaves mixed martial arts with a record of 16 wins and five losses. The Polish woman is considered, by many, to be the biggest name in strawweight history (up to 52,1kg), but she retires in her comeback fight after more than two years of inactivity.
