In his first title defense, Glover will face the rising prospect Jiri Prochazka. The Brazilian said he was ready to face his rival's high-level striking.
“Jiri is a striking guy and is unpredictable, you know? You have to keep a very smart eye there. The reflection has to be up to date. It's more that he's unpredictable and he's certainly a guy who hits hard, but I've been training with one of the best strikers in the world of boxing and kickboxing and I'm feeling really good,” said Glover.
At 42 years old, Glover became light heavyweight champion after beating the Pole Jan Blachowicz, in October 2021, in UFC 267. Professional since 2002, the Minas Gerais native from Sobrália has a record of 33 triumphs and seven setbacks in the sport.
