With just two fights in the UFC, the Czech Jiri Prochazka achieved a meteoric rise and will fight for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg) against Glover Teixeira No. UFC 275. “I'm excited, I respect him (Glover Teixeira) because he's a normal guy, a true warrior. He won the belt at his age, he's beaten a lot of guys and won a lot of fights against young, strong guys. It's incredible. Mainly (Anthony) Smith and Thiago Marreta who are the guys in the best shape and he proved that he is a true champion. But, my time is coming, I know it's my time and I just have to do my thing and my strategy. I will show my evolved self from my last fight,” said Prochazka.

Number two in the under-93kg ranking, Jiri debuted in the organization in 2020 and achieved two spectacular knockouts, over Volkan oezdemir e Dominick reyes, respectively. At 29 years old, the Czech fighter is a former champion of the Japanese Rizin event and has a record of 28 wins, three setbacks and one draw in MMA.
