Fabricio Werdum is scheduled to face the winner of the fight between junior gypsy e Cain Velazquez, who will face each other at UFC 166, for the heavyweight belt. But the Brazilian doesn't forget an old rival: alistair overeem.

The Brazilian heavyweight stated that the Dutchman only had a great performance in MMA, being undefeated between 2007 and 2013, due to the use of anabolic steroids. After being caught in the UFC anti-doping test, Alistair accumulated two consecutive defeats.

“He lost some of his gas because of the steroids. He changes a lot without the 'juice' and everyone saw what happened. Overeem is a completely different fighter without the juice. They took their powers,” said Fabrício, in an interview with the North American website MMA Fighting.

Werdum, who suffered his last MMA defeat to Overeem in June 2011, revealed that he doesn't like his rival's stance. Despite this, he believes in his rehabilitation in the face of Frank mir at UFC 169.

PUBLICITY:

“Although we've already fought twice, I don't like him because I think he's very arrogant. But he's a good fighter, a knockout artist and deserves respect for what he did in MMA. Now, against the Frank mir Let's see what will happen, if he will change the strategy and training. Mir also hasn't been doing well in the last few fights and that's why I believe Overeem will defend the takedowns and get the knockout. Let’s see how he will perform without the ‘juice’”, he added.
