UFC legend Khabib meets with Bellator president: 'Work in progress'

Together with his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, the Russian has a meeting with Scott Coker, but does not reveal the content of the meeting

At the head of Eagle FC, Khabib Nurmagomedov is willing to expand his fame as a promoter. Last Friday (3), the UFC legend released an image of a meeting with Bellator president, Scott Coker. Even with a post on social media, the Russian did not reveal what was discussed at the meeting.

In recent weeks, Nurmagomedov had confirmed his desire to reunite with Coker. On that occasion, the athlete admitted his interest in negotiating a possible confrontation between junior gypsy and the legendary Fedor Emelianenko, who has a contract with Bellator.

After Khabib's suggestion, Scott didn't take long to respond positively about the meeting. The president even joked that the dinner bill would be paid by the former Ultimate champion.

Russian MMA legend, Nurmagomedov ended his fighting career in October 2020. The decision became public moments after the former combatant submitted Justin gaethje and unify the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg).

The main reason for Khabib to leave the sport was the death of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, who died months earlier. Coach and mentor of the mixed martial arts star, he was one of the victims of Covid-19.
