Cat Zingano undergoes new knee surgery and postpones return to UFC

After injuring her left knee, the fighter will have to treat the joint on her right side

Then guarantee the chance to challenge the champion Ronda Rousey, she had to give up her post to Miesha Tate due to a knee injury. Now, the athlete who was recovering from the rupture of the ligament in her left knee joint, will have to undergo a new surgical procedure on the joint on her right side.

In an interview with the “UFC Tonight” program on the North American channel FOX Sports 1, Zingano stated that the new injury arose because she was forcing her left knee to compensate for the lack of movement in her right knee.

“I've been struggling with my knees for some time. My left knee has worn out because I have been favoring my right knee. I’m going to do a stem cell procedure to try to fix it,” said the fighter.

Zingano, 31 years old, has a record of eight wins and no defeats. She still has no plans to return to the Octagon.
