After Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal reveals that he admires Gilbert Durinho and does not rule out a confrontation

North American admits to being a fan of the Brazilian's style, but eventual fight comes up against what he considers 'lack of engagement' from Niteroi

Owner of the UFC ‘BMF’ belt, Jorge masvidal He can't make up his mind when it comes to his next opponent. After exchanging barbs with Conor McGregor and propose a rematch with Nate diaz, the ‘ball of the moment’ is Gilbert Durinho. In an interview with 'MMA fighting’, ‘Jesus das Ruas’ admitted to admiring the Brazilian’s style and did not rule out a possible confrontation.

“Definitely, (Conor) McGregor is one of the fights that makes the most sense, in terms of money. Another matchup that makes sense to me is (Gilbert) Durinho. I like the way he fights, the way he competes. He comes to give everything and the way he challenged me was incredible,” said Masvidal.

The veteran, who is going through his worst phase in Ultimate, however, explains why Gilbert would not be his priority for his next commitment. The promotional side, according to the North American, can influence the decision.

“McGregor makes a lot of money. Durinho doesn't sell like that. I don't mean to insult, but it doesn't attract any money at the box office. I want to fight Durinho, because I like the fighter he is”, he concluded.

At 37 years old, Jorge has accumulated three consecutive defeats. Gilbert is also looking to get back on track to winning ways. Standing out in the welterweight division, the Brazilian comes from a stumble in a true battle against Khamzat Shimaev.
