Cain Velazquez gained additional motivation to defend the heavyweight belt against the Brazilian junior gypsy at UFC 166. This Thursday (03), the North American received his jiu-jitsu black belt from his teacher Leandro Vieira.
In addition to Velasquez, another athlete from the AKA team also advanced to graduate jiu-jitsu. Daniel Cormier he received his brown belt in ‘arte-suave’ and posted the photo on his Instagram account. In the image, he appears with Velasquez, Leandro Viera and Luke Rockhold, also a UFC athlete.
The graduation of Cain Velazquez happens just 16 before your fight against junior gypsy, who is also a jiu-jitsu black belt. On October 19th, in Houston, the heavyweights will duel for the category belt.
