Undefeated in MMA, Kayla Harrison faces former Bellator champion in July

With an eye on her third PFL lightweight championship, the North American will face off against Canadian Julia Budd, in a duel scheduled for July 01st

One of the biggest names in women's MMA today, Kayla harrison Your next appointment will be the biggest challenge of your career so far. The two-time PFL lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) will face the former owner of the Bellator featherweight (up to 65,7kg) belt, julia budd. The confrontation will be held in the edition scheduled for July 01st.

An MMA professional since 2018, Kayla came to the sport with great promise, due to her successful career in judo where she won the Olympic gold medal twice (London-2012 and Rio-2016). The North American is undefeated in the sport after 13 fights and won both editions of the lightweight tournament she competed in for the PFL. In her last confrontation, Harrison defeated Russian Marina Mokhnatkina in a unanimous decision by the judges.

Bellator featherweight champion between 2017 and 2020, julia budd defended her belt on three occasions and was only dethroned by the Brazilian legend Chris Cyborg. The Canadian arrived in the PFL in 2021 and, since then, has recorded one victory and one defeat, over Kaitlin Young and Genah Fabian, respectively. The 38-year-old fighter started in the sport in 2010 and has a record of 16 triumphs and four setbacks as a professional.
