“That guy (McGregor) doesn't answer the UFC's phone calls when my name is put in his mailbox. I don't want to expose the UFC executives, but if you ask certain members of the team, they will say, 'Conor is not fighting anymore, under any circumstances.' When they offer him a contract, he says stupid things to make sure it doesn't happen. He asks me to get down to 70,3kg. (light). I'm not going down. You fought at 77kg. (welterweight), so why would I do that? I haven't been in this weight class for more than five or six years and I can't physically do it anymore,” Masvidal said in an interview with 'MMA Hour'.

“He wants to put things (in the contract) that are not real and still talks shit. And yes, I'll tease you when I get bored, but you're not fighting anyone. Dana White said this a long time ago: I'm too much of a man for him. But at the same time, he can't do anything about it. He knows that when we meet, I will break his ab****”, he concluded.

Masvidal and McGregor find themselves in similar positions and need to react again in Ultimate. The North American comes from three consecutive defeats, while the Irishman is still working on recovering from a fracture suffered in a clash against Dustin poirier, which took place in July 2021.
