In an interview with the North American website “Sherdog.com”, the football trainer José Aldo, Dedé Pederneiras, spoke about his pupil's future in the organization. The leader of Nova União admitted that TJ Dillashaw he may be ahead in the race for the next challenger and revealed that Aldo is listening to other proposals from Ultimate.

Among the names mentioned, Dedé Pederneiras highlights Henry Cejudo, former division champion, as an ideal opponent for José Aldo.

“It's a great marriage for Aldo, who has one of the best takedown defenses in UFC history and is a much better striker than Cejudo”, analyzed the coach.

After debuting with two consecutive defeats in the bantamweight division, José Aldo scored three consecutive victories and currently occupies third place in the category ranking, behind only TJ Dillashaw, Petr yan and the champion aljamain sterling.
