A long-running rivalry could soon reach its final chapter. The long-awaited fight between Matt hugs against Matt serra could happen at UFC 98, on May 23, in Las Vegas, Nevada
“I only have one call from Joe Silva and as of now it looks like he will be fighting Matt Serra in Las Vegas on May 23rd. This is not 100% confirmed, but I believe it will be on this date”, reveals Hughes, in a note on his website.
This fight was already scheduled to take place at UFC 79 for the welterweight belt, in December 2007, but due to an injury to Serra, giving way to George St-Pierre, who beat Hughes, the fight ended up not happening. Rumors say this will be his last fight. Matt hugs.
