After second defeat, UFC fires Randy Couture's son

Ryan Couture was unable to repeat his good performances in Strikeforce in Ultimate

The Ultimate organization announced the dismissal of Ryan Couture, son of the legendary Randy Couture, after two consecutive defeats. Couture debuted in the UFC with a defeat to Ross Pearson and, on August 31st, he lost to To the fifth.

Ryan was unable to repeat the good performances he had in Strikeforce, where he had a record of six wins and just one loss. The athlete was one of several names that migrated to the UFC after the acquisition of the extinct organization by Zuffa – the company that manages Ultimate.

At 31 years old, Ryan Couture has a record of six wins and three losses as a professional. His most important victory as a professional was over KJ Noons, who was already EliteXC champion and former Strikeforce belt challenger, in January of this year.
