Sonnen fires at Wanderlei Silva: 'Fights at PRIDE were set up'

Falastrão did not spare his Brazilian rival and claimed to have sources that confirm his accusation

Sonnen said he wants to face 'the guys who have the biggest wins', but he didn't stop teasing Wand

If anyone thought that the “war” between Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen it was over, he was wrong. Apparently, the rivals were just preparing another chapter of the confrontation that, it is believed, has everything to migrate into the Octagon. After another series of provocations from Wand, Chael Sonnen did not spare the Brazilian and attacked his past as champion of the now extinct PRIDE.

“Am I picking on him? Yes, I'm picking on him. This goes back to when he was fighting in Japan. I was the first guy to point out the fact that those fights were fake, that he didn't win fights in Japan and he didn't have a record of 22 wins and no losses. They (the fights at PRIDE) were set up”, said the loudmouth, in an interview with the “MMA Fighting” website.

Sonnen also cited some witnesses who, according to him, would prove his accusation. “As soon as I said that, other guys started coming out and saying, ‘Oh, Chael’s right. From Gary Goodridge to Mark Coleman to Don Frye, they came out and said 'Yes, we were backstage, and yes, they (the fights) were rigged.' He (Wanderlei Silva) is upset, but that doesn’t change the reality of what happened,” he added.
