With four consecutive defeats at lightweight, Tony Ferguson does not rule out changing categories

Considered one of the biggest names in the history of UFC lightweights (up to 70,3kg), Tony Ferguson He is going through his worst moment in MMA. With four consecutive defeats, 'Bicho Papão' seeks to find its way back to winning ways and does not rule out a change of category. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the veteran spoke about the possibility of moving to welterweight (up to 77kg.).

“I knocked out everyone at welterweight. Cutting weight to lightweight isn't too complicated for me, but I lose a lot of muscle mass. I hate looking thin like that. I look like a weakling and I don’t like that,” she said.

Former owner of the interim belt in the under-70,3kg division, Ferguson has had four consecutive stumbles. In his last fight, the veteran ended up being heavily knocked out by Michael chandler, in one of the most anticipated fights in the UFC 274.

A lightweight standout for years, Tony hasn't won a commitment in almost three years. His last triumph came in July 2019, when he beat Donald Cerrone.
