After leaving with his arms raised in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 54, an event that took place last Saturday (14), Jan Blachowicz used the post-event press conference to wish strength to his opponent Aleksandar rakic. Suffering a knee injury in the third round, the Austrian took the hit and didn't even continue in the fight.

“I don’t know (if Rakic’s injury happened after leg kicks). It's a question only he can answer. Maybe he was just trying to be supportive, but I don't know. I just hope he has a quick recovery so he can get back to the gym as soon as possible,” said Blachowicz.
The fight between Blachowicz and Rakic, until then, was balanced. The two fighters measured distance in their exchanges and, when the Austrian went to support his right leg, he felt a possible injury to his knee and collapsed. Noticing the Austrian's condition, the referee interrupted the duel and declared the Pole the winner by technical knockout.
First placed in the light heavyweight rankings (up to 93kg.), Jan awaits Glover Teixeira e Jiri Prochazka, which are faced in the UFC 275, with an eye on a new opportunity for the belt.
