The Rio de Janeiro Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation (FJJD-Rio), formerly FJJE-Rio, will hold on January 24, 2009 the annual diplomacy and awards ceremony for the Rio 2008 Ranking, with all the highlights of the Rio Mineirinho Circuit. Among the great honorees are athletes Thiago Oliveira (GFTeam) and José Carlos (DDR). The fighter who scored the most in the brown and black belts, Thiago will receive the “Mestre João Alberto Barreto” trophy and travel and stay in the United States. José Carlos was the best among the blue and purple teams and, in addition to receiving a weekend with a companion at Balneário de Búzios and an additional R$200,00 in cash, he will win the “Mestre Oswaldo Fada” trophy.
But there will be many other awards. The champions of the infant – youth, youth, adult, masters and senior classes from yellow to black belts will receive trophies and certificates. In addition, there will be a draw between the champions of the adult male blue, purple, brown and black belt class circuit. The winner will receive a cash prize (blue belt: R$200,00 – purple belt: R$300,00 – brown belt: R$400,00 – black belt: R$500,00). For women, the draw will be between the champions of the blue and purple belts and between the champions of the brown and black belts (belt – blue/purple: R$ 200,00 belt – brown/black: R$ 300,00).
Another award will be given to the coaches of the five teams that scored the most points in the Circuit. Check out the names:

3nd Place: R$ 200,00 (Professor André Marola – Nova União team)
4th Place: R$ 100,00 (Professor Fabrício Araújo – Mestre Wilson team)
5th Place: R$ 100,00 (Professor Eduardo Sardella – Sardella JJ team
For candidates for the annual diploma, they must submit to the federation the registration form found on the website, together with the documents by January 16th (Friday) so that a careful evaluation can be carried out by the Council of Masters of the Federation. .
