A fighter's debut in a given organization is unforgettable, but it can be marked by good or bad memories. For Alan Carlos, however, the duel against Charles Ward did not end well. In a preliminary fight at Bellator 281, which takes place this Friday (13), the Brazilian suffered elbows in the Irishman's grappling fight and lost a unanimous decision from the judges.

The fight

Alan Carlos started the duel willing to make use of the difference in wingspan, but saw Charles Ward reduce the distance and land a good straight shot close to the cage. The Brazilian, in turn, managed to recover and bet on low kicks. In the final stretch, the Bahian managed a good counterattack that shook the Irishman, but was unable to settle the score.

Ward followed the intense pace of approach, took another blow at short range, but 'stuck' Carlos to the fence to get the takedown. With elbows, the Irishman opened a cut on the Brazilian's eyebrow, which bled profusely.

If it worked, Charles repeats it. The Irishman followed his strategy in the grappling game, fell in the first minute and continued 'crushing' the Brazilian on top until the end of the fight.

The end of the preliminary card featured a great knockout, closely watched by the public in London, England. Daniel weichel got a sequel Vitor belfort about Wanderlei Silva and beat Robert Whitefort in the first round.

A veteran, Weichel reached his 42nd career victory, while he also has 13 defeats. Whiteford, in turn, finds the 'bitter taste' of the fifth setback. He also has 18 triumphs.

In a light heavyweight duel (up to 93kg), Lee Chadwick and Maciej Rozanski excited the audience in London, England, with an intense duel decided on points. After imposing initial pressure, the visitor managed to follow his strategy until the end and left with his 'arms raised'.

Polish, Różański debuts with victory in the organization. In his career, there are now 14 triumphs and three setbacks, while Chadwick's streak is broken and has 27 positive results, 16 negative results and one draw.

In the first fight on the preliminary card, Chiara Penco and Lanchana Green had an intense striking duel for three rounds. Fighting predominantly on the feet, the Italian used low kicks and combinations of jabs and straight shots to stay ahead of her opponent on the judges' scorecards (30-27, 29-28, 30-27).

Penco, in addition, scored his second victory in a row. Professional since 2017, the Italian has a record of seven triumphs and three setbacks. On the other hand, Green is 'negative' in his career, with five negative results, four positive results and one draw.
