If the first season ended disappointingly, Anthony Pettis proved that he wants to fight for the prize of US$ 1 million (around R$ 5 million, at current prices) in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg.). At an organization event held this Friday (6), ‘Showtime’ managed to apply a plastic submission with choke from above in front of Myles Price.

Pettis scores his first win in three PFL fights. The American had lost to Clay Collard and Raush Manfio last season, but now he scores six points in his debut. Former UFC champion, the American has 25 triumphs and 12 setbacks in his career.
Myles Price wasn't as lucky. The ‘Magician’, as he is known, felt the bitter taste of his eighth negative result. He also has 11 positives.
The fight
Price ‘missed the start’ and dove at Pettis’ legs, who made the dodge. The Irishman got on his knees and received punches on the ground, falling underneath. ‘Showtime’, however, adopted calm to maintain the dominant position in the guard. Anthony went for the transition, reversed the triangle and, on top, got a plastic submission to submit Myles.
