Having an excellent moment in his career, heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) Alexander Romanov continues 'hunting' for challenges dreaming of a quick rise in the category. After challenging MMA legend Jon Jones, the Molvado athlete asked for a confrontation with Brazilian Augusto Sakai. The statement was given after the UFC Las Vegas 53, which took place last Saturday (30).

“I want someone from the top 15. I'm focused now on Augusto Sakai. This is going to be a big fight. For me, the top 15 is very interesting because Augusto Sakai has a very interesting striking style. For me, this would be a very good challenge”, said the heavyweight.

A professional athlete since 2016, Romanov is undefeated in his career with 16 straight victories. Hired by Ultimate in 2020, the Moldovan has already defeated five opponents in the organization chaired by Dana White. In the next update of the heavyweight rankings, 'King Kong' may already have his name included among the 15 best in the category.
