Former training partner, Urijah faber want to see TJ Dillashaw in a fight for the UFC bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg) in his next appearance. The North American stated that his compatriot is ready to challenge aljamain sterling, with the former executioner José Aldo 'waiting' for the winner of the fight.

“I don’t think TJ (Dillashaw) needs to show that he’s not ready yet, because Cory Sandhagen could be champion. He's an incredible fighter, the two fought close and some people thought Sandhagen won. At the moment, for relevance, I think TJ x 'Aljo' (aljamain sterling) is the fight to be made, and then (José) Aldo faces the winner”, said Faber in an interview with 'ESPN' North-American.
Asked about the situation of José Aldo in the division, Urijah believes that the Brazilian could put up a great fight against TJ Dillashaw in sequence. He, however, highlights that the duel would not have the same prestige, as it would not be worth the linear bantamweight belt.
“I think a TJ and Aldo fight would be huge too, but you don't have the 'piece of metal' on the line, so it would lose face. And Aldo lost to Petr yan in the past, but has managed to light a 'fire' and looks better than ever. I would like to see that too”, he concluded.
Former division champion, TJ Dillashaw returned to the list of possible title contenders after undergoing a two-year suspension for doping by USADA and, in his comeback fight, won Cory Sandhagen by points. He is now recovering from a serious knee injury and has a record of 17 positive results and four negative results.
