Andrei Arlovski had a 'golden day' UFC Las Vegas 53, event held last Saturday (30). The veteran achieved a historic feat and is now the organization's record holder for fights, with 39, alongside Jim Miller. He also achieved the highest number of victories (23) in the history of the event by overcoming Jake collier in the judges' split decision.

In a good phase, Arlovski achieved his fourth consecutive victory and, in his career, has a record of 34 triumphs, 20 setbacks and two 'no result' fights. He began his career as a professional in 1999.
Collier, on the other hand, has fluctuated in the organization and has not managed a sequence of victories. The North American has a record of 13 positive results and seven negative results in his career.
The fight
Arlovski started measuring the distance and tried to throw an elbow from distance, but stopped in the defense of Collier, who responded and opened a cut on his forehead. The Belarusian went down and tried to change the situation, but did not keep his opponent in the situation.
Back in the second round, the scenario was similar and Andrei suffered a fall. He, however, got out of position and resumed the fight on his feet, in addition to being able to land good blows and withstand combinations from Jake at close range. The duel between the heavyweights had a lively final stretch, with frank striking.
The third and decisive round, almost, did not have an anticlimax with a headbutt between the fighters. Still, they returned to the duel and Jake collier he applied good strikes at short range, in addition to getting a takedown in the final seconds. He, however, could not do enough to leave with his arms raised.
