The Dutch alistair overeem He is coming off two consecutive UFC defeats, but that hasn't hindered his performance outside the Octagon. Even though he was knocked out by Travis Browne at UFC Fight Night 26, an event held in August, the heavyweight earned the biggest salary on the show.
Overeem pocketed US$285,7 thousand, approximately R$651 thousand, for his presentation. The information was released by the Massachusetts Athletic Commission, the entity that sanctioned the event.
The second biggest UFC Fight Night 26 purse also went to a loser. The Brazilian Mauricio Shogun, which ended up finished by Chael Sonnen, received US$175 thousand, approximately R$399 thousand.
