UFC Fight Night 28 marks the end of Brazilian hegemony in events in the country

Brazilian fighters have a tight 5x4 'victory' in duels against foreigners in Belo Horizonte

Yuri losesUltimate's second visit to Belo Horizonte broke what had already been established throughout other events held in Brazil: the broad advantage of Brazilian athletes over their foreign opponents. Although the country still had an advantage in the final balance of the fighting, other opportunities were not seen to dominate. In total, there were five victories for home athletes and four for visitors.

The fight night started off complicated for the Brazilian athletes, with the defeat of Yuri Villefort to the American Sean Spencer. Then, with the triumphs of Ivan Batman and lucas mineiro, the preliminary card ended with a score of 2-1 for Brazil. On the main card, a 3x3 draw meant that the event, which featured two other fights between Brazilians, ended with a tight 5x4 for the home fighters.

However, in the most important fights of the night, Brazil did better. In both the main fight and the co-main event of the night, the country's athletes emerged victorious. Glover Teixeira e Ronaldo Jacare knocked Ryan bader e Yushin Okami, respectively. Both victories were achieved in the first round and by technical knockout.
