VIDEO: Darren Till is 'framed' by 'Knockout Man' and is defended by Khamzat Chimaev: 'I'm going to knock you out'

Cameras record Joaquin Buckley's unusual challenge to the Englishman, who accepts the confrontation; Swede is bothered by North American's attitude

Former challenger for the UFC welterweight (up to 77kg) belt, Darren till received an unusual challenge behind the scenes of UFC 273. The Englishman, who is going through a difficult time at the company, was summoned by Joaquin buckley for a confrontation. Present on site, Khamzat Shimaev was bothered by the action of the 'Knockout Man' and decided to take matters into his own hands. The video was released by 'TWSN'.

“He (Chimaev) is at welterweight now. I can't worry about him. But you do not. Need you. Do you want a fight?”, Buckley challenged, addressing Till.

Without hesitation, Darren agreed to the commitment. The athlete even proposed the date.

“Do you want to face me in July?”, he replied.

Satisfied with the proposal, Buckley and Till shook hands and signed the verbal agreement.

Even more unusual was the reaction of Khamzat Shimaev, a personal friend of Darren, who was present at the scene. Opponent of Gilbert Durinho At the time, the Swede questioned Buckley's attitude and even showed signs that he would move up to middleweight (up to 83,9kg).

Former welterweight title challenger, Darren till does not fight from the stumble against Derek Brunson, in September 2021. In a complicated phase, the Englishman has accumulated four setbacks in the last five appearances and, today, is in eighth place in the group led by Israel adesanya.

Famous for his historic knockout in 2020, Buckley is looking for an opportunity to reach the top 15 at middleweight. The athlete comes from two consecutive triumphs, one of them over Antonio Arroyo, who ended up leaving Ultimate after the setback for the North American.
