the japanese Shinya Aoki, recently crowned as WAMMA lightweight champion, stated in an interview with the American website Sherdog, that he would like to face the current UFC lightweight champion, B.J. Penn, to determine the best fighter in the category.
“I believe there is no doubt that B.J. Penn It's the best of the lightweights. He’s probably the best fighter in the world,” Aoki said. “I'm not ignoring the UFC. I respect it for being an organization with a very high level, but my desire is to fight BJ. Please don't misunderstand, I don't want to go to the UFC. I just really want to fight B.J. Penn”, added the fighter.
