After a three-round “war” in UFC 273, played last Saturday (9), Khamzat Shimaev e Gilbert Durinho left many fans wanting to watch a rematch. Depending on the two athletes involved, this is not a possibility to be ruled out.

Last Tuesday (12), Durinho and Chimaev exchanged provocations on social media and left the possibility of a new meeting between them in the air, this time in five rounds.
The initiative came from Gilbert Durinho, which took the opportunity to provoke Colby covington, Chimaev's likely opponent next. The Brazilian made mention of the North American's recent controversy with Jorge masvidal.
“If 'call the police' doesn't come up, you know who to call, Khamzat Shimaev. 5 rounds”, challenged the Brazilian.
Chimaev's response was not long in coming. The Russian-born Swedish citizen stated that he would “rip out the soul” of the Brazilian and promised to meet him soon.
“In 5 rounds I will rip out your soul. See you soon, boy”, replied the Swede.
Despite the “agreement” between the fighters, the tendency is for Chimaev’s next opponent to actually be Colby covington. With the victory over the Brazilian, the Russian gained eight positions in the welterweight rankings (up to 77 kg) and reached third place, behind only Leon edwards, the next challenger for the belt, Covington himself and the champion Kamaru Usman. Gilbert Durinho, in turn, lost two positions and is now fourth.
