With very modest projections for its return in the middle of the week, Ultimate was surprised by the results achieved with UFC Fight Night 27, last Wednesday (28). The event, held at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, in Indianapolis (USA), had an audience of 6.417 people, exceeding the organization's initial perspective by approximately 10% – which was approximately 5.900 people. With ticket sales, the event raised the equivalent of US$355 (around R$830).

Despite this, the numbers are much lower than those obtained by Ultimate in its last visit to Indianapolis. However, it is necessary to consider that, at the time, it was an event in pay-per-view, held on a Saturday. The organization's last visit to the capital of the state of Indiana was in 2010, with UFC 119, which had Frank mir vs. Mirko “Cro-Cop” Filipović as the main fight. The event had an audience of more than 15 thousand people and raised the equivalent of US$ 1,6 million (R$ 2,72 million, according to the exchange rate at the time) in ticket sales.

PUBLICITY:

UFC Fight Night 27 featured a rematch between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann as the main event. The duel was won by the North American, who knocked out his Danish rival in the fourth round. In the co-main event of the night, Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos surpassed “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone, in a unanimous decision by the judges, and won his fifth consecutive victory in Ultimate.
