A strong and unpleasant scene marked the last edition of Combate Global, held in Miami, in the United States, last Friday (9). In a duel valid for atom weight (up to 47,7 kg), Anna Somers ended up breaking her opponent Ireland Galindo's arm in a submission attempt in the first round of the fight.

After falling to the ground and trying to apply a triangle, Anna Somers made the transition to a very well-adjusted kimura. The blow ended up fracturing Ireland Galindo's arm. The crack of the Mexican woman's arm could be heard from afar. The fight was stopped by the referee immediately after the fracture. Upon realizing what had happened, Somers hugged her rival and lamented.

At 28 years old, Anna Somers achieved the first victory of her career in her second professional MMA fight. The American had debuted in the sport with defeat in January 2021.

On the other hand, Ireland Galindo suffered the second consecutive defeat in her career and has not won since her professional debut in August last year.
