Bellator announces third title fight for its first pay-per-view card

Organization has confirmed a featherweight title fight between Pat Curran and Daniel Straus for Bellator 106, on November 2nd

Bellator, the second biggest MMA event and UFC's main competitor, has invested heavily in its first card in pay-per-view, which takes place on November 2nd. This Tuesday (27), the organization announced, through its Twitter official, the third title fight of the fight night: between featherweight champion Pat Curran and challenger Daniel Straus.

In addition to the duel between Curran and Straus, two other title fights take place at the event: between Michael chandler and Eddie Alvarez, among the lightweights, and the duel for the interim light heavyweight title between “King mo” Lawal and Emanuel Newton. In the main fight of the card, former UFC fighters will face each other Tito Ortiz and Quinton “Rampage”Jackson.

Bellator 106 takes place on November 2nd, at Long Beach Arena, in Long Beach, California (USA). The event is the organization's first experience with the PPV system. To date, Bellator cards are broadcast on North American cable TV with a season system that consists of tournaments, in which eight athletes compete in qualifiers to decide who will compete for the belt against the current champion of the category.
