Armed with provocations, Khamzat Shimaev was in full swing at the press conference for the UFC 273, held this Thursday (7), in Jacksonville (USA). Opponent of Gilbert Durinho this Saturday (9), the Swede exuded confidence and made a promise in front of the press and the public present at the event. For 'Dana White's pupil', the Brazilian will suffer a tragic defeat this weekend.

“I'm going to crush this guy and knock him out in a minute or less. He is a small boy and is very scared. I see it in your eyes,” Chimaev said.

This Saturday, Khamzat will have the most important fight of his career to date. Undefeated in MMA and with four consecutive massacres with the Ultimate gloves, the athlete seeks to make good on the trust placed by the Ultimate team.

Current number two in the welterweight rankings (under 77kg), Durinho accepted the challenge of taking a 'step back' and facing 'Dana White's pupil'. If he breaks the 'hype' of the company's promise, the Brazilian could regain his status as a challenger for the belt.

The confrontation between Gilbert and Chimaev will take place on the main card. In addition to the long-awaited clash, the UFC 273 will bring spectators two title fights, in the featherweight (up to 65,7kg) and bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) divisions.
