Chimaev ridicules Covington when talking about possible UFC fight: 'Dana White would be arrested'

Star in UFC 273, Khamzat Shimaev, in fact, exudes confidence when it comes to MMA. Opponent of Gilbert Durinho this Saturday (9), Dana White's pupil once again caused 'cause' by belittling a fellow division member. This time the target was Colby covington, who ended up being ridiculed by the Swede when his name was mentioned about a possible confrontation.

“Dana White would be in jail if they confirmed this fight. He talks a lot in the press, but when it's face to face, he calls the police,” said Chimaev, in a conversation with the press at 'media day', recalling the recent episode in which Colby called the authorities after being attacked by Jorge masvidal.

For Khamzat, the fact that he is number one in the welterweight rankings (under 77kg) and former interim champion of the category does not seem to matter. The athlete is certain that the North American does not have the suggested talent.

“He’s not the guy. To be quite honest, he should be kicked out of the UFC,” he concluded.

This weekend, Chimaev will hold the most important fight of his professional MMA career. The combatant will share the octagon with Gilbert Durinho and a victory over the Brazilian could guarantee the Swede a title shot.
