Heavyweight 'sensation', Tom Aspinall denies interest in interim title: 'there are those who deserve it more'

Biggest “sensation” of UFC heavyweights today, Tom aspinall he has his feet on the ground regarding his place in the division. Sixth in the rankings and undefeated in the octagon, the Brit rules out the possibility of fighting for a possible interim belt and sees some names ahead of him.

In an interview with “CBS Sports”, Tom aspinall stated that he does not even consider the possibility of fighting for the interim title and mentioned names such as Stipe Miocic e Jon Jones as truly worthy of the dispute.

“It’s not something I think about much. I have no interest in that, actually. I think there are other people who deserve more, like Stipe Miocic ou Jon Jones. There are definitely people who deserve it more than me. I just got into the top 10. I'm not looking to do anything like that. Look at Cyryl Gane, he came close to beating Ngannou. People like him deserve much more than me”, admitted Aspinall.
