After overcoming Austin vanderford in February and defend the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) at Bellator, Gegard Mousasi will have the opportunity to take away another athlete's unbeaten record in MMA. In his second reign in the company, the veteran has a fight scheduled against Johnny Eblen for June 24th. The information was released by reporter Ariel Helwani.

A former UFC standout and, today, one of Bellator's main stars, Mousasi is heading for his second appearance in 2022. In his debut of the season, the fighter had no difficulty getting past the then undefeated Vanderford, overcoming the challenger with just over one minute of confrontation.
In June, Gegard will share the circular cage with an athlete who is enjoying a great moment in the organization. Representative of the company chaired by Scott Coker since 2019, Johnny Eblen has accumulated seven positive results in a row.
Current number one in the middleweight rankings, behind only Mousasi, the new challenger will also make his second challenge of the season. In March, at Bellator 276, the fighter passed John Salter and got his passport stamped to face the champion.
In his next commitment, Gegard will expand his extensive record as a professional in MMA. The veteran will reach the mark of 59 appearances in the sport.
