“I think this fourth fight will be the last between Brandon Moreno and (Deiveson) Figueiredo… and I think whoever wins this Saturday, me or Kai Kara France, is next in line for a title shot,” said Askarov.
The Russian took the opportunity to provoke the former champion Brandon Moreno and accused him of only choosing 'easy fights' during his career.
“(Brandon) Moreno, after winning, he always chooses his opponents who are the easiest fights. He knows I beat him and I can still beat him. I am the king of this jungle. Tell them I'm back. The king is back. I'm going to take my victory this Saturday, and I'm coming for my belt”, concluded the Russian, confidently.
The only fighter Askarov didn't beat in his entire career was the Mexican Brandon Moreno. In September 2019, the Russian faced the former champion and the duel ended in a draw after 15 electrifying minutes. Askar has a record of 14 triumphs and only one draw in his record as a professional.
