Lyoto gives up on Belfort and asks to fight Chael Sonnen in the UFC

The victory of Chael Sonnen against Mauricio Shogun, this Saturday (17), moved the middleweight (up to 84 kg.) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg.) categories of the UFC. After the loudmouth challenges Wanderlei Silva Still in the octagon, the North American was also challenged by a Brazilian. Through his Twitter account, Lyoto Machida asked to face 'Falastrão'.

Through the microblog, Machida gave up on the speculated fight against his compatriot Vitor belfort to challenge an old enemy. “Since Belfort hasn't commented on our fight, I'm sure Dana White will book my fight with Sonnen”, wrote the man from Pará.

This is not the first time that Lyoto has asked to face Chael Sonnen. At the beginning of 2012, the North American harshly provoked the Brazilian, who responded that he would knock out his rival with just one arm.

    Lyoto is a great fighter, but he can't show it in the octagon, he spends a lot of time studying his opponent and doesn't go into combat, if he showed more aggression and bet on his strength, speed and skill, he would be a strong competitor to defeat the Jonn Jones who exudes violence, strength and aggression, Vitor, who was not well prepared for the fight against Jonn Jones, narrowly missed out on winning.
