As Juan Archuleta was already scheduled to participate in the bantamweight tournament, it is not yet known who Sergio Pettis' replacement will be in the competition, which will award the winner US$1 million (approximately R$4,9 million).

The injury suffered by Sergio Pettis interrupts the best phase of the 28-year-old athlete's career. Without the same success as his older brother Anthony Pettis in the UFC, Sergio found himself in Bellator's circular cage, where he debuted in January 2020 and is undefeated, with four victories, the last of which came in the division's title fight, against Kyoji Horiguchi, in December.
