Now it's official. Ultimate, on its social networks, announced that it will return to Abu Dhabi for an event in UFC 281, scheduled to take place on October 22nd. The card, which should take place at the Etihad Arena, marks the organization's return to the capital of the United Arab Emirates, headlined by a title fight.

However, there is still no confirmed fight. The last Ultimate card that took place in Abu Dhabi marked the coronation of Glover Teixeira as light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), when he submitted Jan Blachowicz with a rear naked choke UFC 267, in October 2021.
The promotion held another important show in January 2021, headlined by a rematch between Dustin poirier e Conor McGregor No. UFC 257, which featured a small capacity of fans. It is worth remembering that the organization promoted events on 'Ilha da Luta' during much of the COVID-19 pandemic.
