Heavyweight prospect Tom Aspinall shrugs off pressure ahead of his first UFC main fight

Promising heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) and on the eve of his first main fight in Ultimate, Tom aspinall He seemed calm and removed all the pressure. On the 'media day' of UFC London, which takes place next Saturday (19), the English athlete praised his preparation for the confrontation and stated that he performs best when he enters the octagon relaxed.

“I think I've improved more this camp than I have in the last two years. I feel so good. I feel in such a good place mentally. That's my focus. I am liking it. I'm not even thinking about the outcome, to be honest. I'm not thinking about how I'm going to finish the fight. I’m going to have the time of my life and enjoy it,” said Aspinall.

The heavyweight removed the pressure to fight 'at home' and stated that, if he enters the Octagon relaxed, he is capable of beating any opponent.

“If I go out there and have fun, I can beat anyone in the world. If I go in there and think too much and try to work with a strategy and do everything perfect, I could lose. So I’m just going to go in there and have the best time of my life”, concluded the English athlete.

Hired by Ultimate in 2020, Aspinall has not yet felt the bitter taste of a setback with the gloves of the organization chaired by Dana White.
