TUF 19 has tryouts scheduled for middleweights and light heavyweights

TUF 18 hasn't even aired in the United States yet and the UFC has already scheduled the tryouts for the 19th edition of its reality show. Fighters in the middleweight (up to 84 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) categories will be able to participate in the process that will result in the group of athletes who will compete in the elimination phase of the program.

The tryouts for TUF 19 will take place at the Westin Hotel, in Indianapolis, in the state of Indiana, on August 27th, the day before UFC Fight Night 28. Those interested must have competed in at least three professional fights, have a positive record and have at least 21 years old and no more than 34. The form for applicants can be found at http://www.ufc.com/tuf19. The season will be recorded in early 2014 and will be shown in the United States in the fall of next year. The coaches for TUF 19 have not yet been announced.

The last time middleweights participated in North American TUF was in edition 17, held in the first half of 2013, when Jon Jones e Chael Sonnen played the roles of coaches and Kelvin Gastelum became the season's winner. The light heavyweights are not part of the reality show since the eighth edition, when Ryan bader was champion for the Rodrigo Minotauro against that of Frank mir.
