Anderson Silva Little by little he begins to talk about his future. The former middleweight champion will challenge for the Chris Weidman in December, in a rematch of the fight held at UFC 162. Aware that he needs to reinvent himself, Spider wants to overcome his own past achievements.
In an interview with Claudia de Castro Lima, from VIP magazine, Anderson was reflective and sincere. The star commented that he needs to reinvent himself – the defeat taught him things that no victory did – and that his new challenge is not to overcome the current champion, but himself.
“I'm going to have to be the terminator of the future. I'm going to readjust and I'm reinventing myself. I have a new challenge, which is to be better than I already was. My mission is not to beat Weidman, it is to beat myself.”
The rematch between Chris Weidman e Anderson Silva will be the main fight of UFC 168, on December 28, in Las Vegas. The event will feature another title fight as the co-main fight, as well as a rematch between Ronda Rousey e Miesha Tate.
