Chonan, who won the “2004 Submission of the Year” award, revealed that his next fight will be his last as a professional. According to the website “Fight Sports Asia”, the duel will be against the current welterweight champion Dan Hornbuckle, on October 20th, in the main fight of the event DEEP: Tribe Tokyo Fight.
The historic victory of Ryo Chonan, now 36 years old, over Anderson Silva it happened in the fourth fight of PRIDE Shockwave 2004, on December 31st.
