Without winning in eight fights, Sam Alvey surprises and confirms another fight for the UFC

Veteran announces that he will have a 'farewell fight' after a series of stumbles; athlete will fulfill the last remaining commitment in his contract

You can believe it. Owner of one of the worst streaks without victories in the history of Ultimate, Sam alvey will have another opportunity to put on the organization's gloves. On your channel YouTube, the 'Smiling Man' confirmed that he was authorized to carry out the last fight in his contract with the company. The athlete hasn't won in eight commitments.

“We knew they called us, they were going to cut me. It wouldn't hurt if they needed to do it. Honestly, I knew the situation would come now, because I haven't won in a while. I had some good fights, which I ended up losing and, in a sport like this, you can't lose,” said Alvey.

The athlete, however, surprised afterwards. Without a positive result since the triumph against Gian Villante, in 2018, the fighter confirmed that he will have the opportunity to fulfill his contract with the organization.

“I’m not cut. I have at least one more fight with the UFC. My contract is for one more fight. (…) I'm going crazy on the phone and trying to maintain my composure. Thank you,” he signed off.

A professional in MMA since 2008, Sam, aged 35, has completed 52 challenges in the sport. Today, the fighter has 33 wins, 17 losses, one draw and one 'I didn't answer'.
