Favorite at UFC Las Vega 49, Islam Makhachev predicts first-round submission over Bobby Green

Considered a wide favorite in the UFC Las Vegas 49, the Russian Islam makhachev wants to show his superiority inside the Octagon. On the 'media day' of UFC Las Vegas 49, which takes place this Saturday (26), the promise of the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg) showed respect for his opponent, but praised his skills and promised a victory by submission in the first round.

“I can't underestimate him, because he's good, he has a lot of experience in the game, I don't know how many years in the UFC, he competed with high-level fighters. But I know my skills are much better than his. If I take him down, I'll finish him there. I’m going to finish in the first round, I have to show my level to people”, said Makhachev.

Initially cast to face Beneil Dariush, the pupil of Khabib Nurmagomedov made a comparison between the skills of the two athletes.

“Beneil has all the skills, whether in grappling, striking or wrestling. Already the Bobby Green there's good boxing, but wrestling and grappling...we'll see on Saturday”, concluded the Russian.

Number four in the lightweight rankings, Makhachev has won nine consecutive victories and has not been defeated since October 2015. The Russian promise has a record of 21 victories and only one setback in professional MMA.
