“Feeling good for a guy with five broken ribs, a punctured lung half full of blood and a damaged kidney. It wasn't the way I imagined my return to Bellator happening, but congratulations to Andrei Koreshkov and a big thank you to the Bellator employees for all the work they did before and after the fight. I feel very well taken care of. Shit happens. Thank you everyone for your support and messages. I'm going to put some metal plates in my ribs and come back as Wolverine with the adamantium skeleton,” wrote Recountre.

Koreshkov's knockout of Recountre happened in the early stages of the fight. About 30 seconds into the fight, the North American threatened a takedown, but was hit by a devastating spinning kick, hitting him in the waist line. Recountre immediately went to the ground and doubled over in pain, receiving five ground and pound blows from Koreshkov before the referee stopped him.
