Sonnen analyzes McGregor's possible wait for a comeback against the winner of 'Do Bronx x Gaethje'

With the injury to Conor McGregor, a new chance for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg.) was seen, by part of the MMA community, as unlikely. But as time passes, the idea seems more realistic for Chael Sonnen. On his official channel on 'YouTube', the North American analyzes the division scenario and believes that the Irish can face the winner of Charles of the Bronx e Justin gaethje.

“If we have a fight between (Dustin) Poirier and (Nate) Diaz to prepare for, you just removed two important players from the board. So you start to take a good look at who's left, it makes more sense. Suddenly, Conor McGregor Coming straight to a world title fight against Gaethje or Oliveira is not as far from an idea as perhaps it seemed the first time we heard it three months ago,” analyzed Sonnen.

In a streak of just one victory in the last four fights, Conor McGregor is recovering from a serious injury suffered in the defeat to Dustin poirier, in July 2021. Former featherweight (up to 65,7kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3kg) champion, 'Notório' has a record of 22 triumphs and six setbacks.

Charles of the Bronx e Justin gaethje, now, they are preparing to measure forces in the UFC 274, an event scheduled to take place on May 7th, in a fight valid for the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg.) of Ultimate.
