Are you going or staying? Considered, by many, as one of the best fighters in the history of the sport, Chris Cyborg may be close to closing the cycle in Bellator. Featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.), the Brazilian revealed that she only has two more fights left in her contract and set a date for her appearance in the Octagon.

“I have one or two fights left on my current contract. So, I'm ready to fight and just waiting for the next opponent. My manager said maybe April (I'll go back to acting) and maybe it could be Arlene Blencowe, which would be a rematch. I will never choose opponents, but I would like to fight new girls. But I'll be ready for April, if the opportunity comes," Cyborg said on the show 'The Catch-up with James Lynch'.
She was even in negotiations to face Zingano cat, but the American surprised and signed an agreement for a duel with Pam Sorenson, on March 12 of this year. Now, Cyborg tried to criticize her for 'running away' from fighting for the organization's title.
“I'm not surprised because I heard she's asking for a lot of money to fight. She accused me of refusing a drug test, but I never refused. And, if you look up her record before USADA, you'll see that she's undefeated. After USADA, she has been losing fights for five years. So I don't know what she's saying. Why are you choosing to fight in the YouTube prelims instead of a main event? Everything she is doing is just an excuse,” she concluded.
Bellator featherweight champion since January 2020, Cris has already defended her belt on three occasions, against Arlene Blencowe, Leslie Smith and Sinead Kavanagh. In his record, Cyborg has 24 triumphs and two setbacks.
