Dustin Poirier says he 'would get arrested' if he fought Colby Covington

In an interview with the press present at the UFC 271, last Saturday (12), Dustin poirier talked about his problems with Colby covington and refuted any possibility of facing his former colleague in the UFC octagon, stating that “both would be arrested” if the fight took place.

“I would never face Colby in an octagon where there are finances at stake. If I confront Colby, we'll both go to prison. I'm going to prison. I'm not going to face him in the Octagon. He's not going to make money from my career and what I've built. It's something different. You'll never see me facing Colby covington in the UFC”, assured Poirier.

As for the main fight of the UFC 272Inter Colby covington e Jorge masvidal, on March 6, Poirier was confident in the preparation of the American Top Team athlete.

“Jorge is a great guy. I want him to be successful. I know he's working hard and I know BoNickal is with him on American Top Team. We have great wrestlers there, so he's preparing the wrestling game. His fighting IQ and skill will speak for themselves. I'm confident, but it's a struggle. I’m rooting for Jorge,” he concluded.
