Dustin Poirier says he 'would get arrested' if he fought Colby Covington

As with Masvidal, Covington created a rivalry with Poirier after leaving American Top Team

The output of Colby covington of American Top Team left seemingly incurable marks. In addition to the enormous rivalry with his former friend Jorge masvidal, Colby covington has also made clear its differences with Dustin poirier in the last years.

In an interview with the press present at the UFC 271, last Saturday (12), Dustin poirier talked about his problems with Colby covington and refuted any possibility of facing his former colleague in the UFC octagon, stating that “both would be arrested” if the fight took place.

“I would never face Colby in an octagon where there are finances at stake. If I confront Colby, we'll both go to prison. I'm going to prison. I'm not going to face him in the Octagon. He's not going to make money from my career and what I've built. It's something different. You'll never see me facing Colby covington in the UFC”, assured Poirier.

As for the main fight of the UFC 272Inter Colby covington e Jorge masvidal, on March 6, Poirier was confident in the preparation of the American Top Team athlete.
